St. Edward’s Church: Custom Church Stained Glass

St. Edward’s Church: Custom Church Stained Glass

We’re humbled to announce that our newest custom church stained glass project is now complete. St. Edward’s Church located in Pennsylvania was looking for a custom memorial piece to pay tribute to their recently passed pastor. They also wanted to add a functional window for concealing the main street view from their observatory during service. The church interviewed many different studios across the country and decided to use our studio for this project.

The Custom Church Stained Glass Process for St. Edward’s Church

Due to the fact that this project began during the pandemic, we had to rely mainly on virtual communications for the design process when we typically do this in person. We created different versions of the tree of life design they requested and were going through the review process when Father Rick mentioned that he’d like to create a panel showing Jesus on the Sea of Galilee one day since this was his favorite Biblical teaching. We decided to give this design a shot as well – after presenting it, the Father and church both fell in love and chose this one for manufacturing. We wanted to add depth to the design and achieved this through painting and shading. We also wanted to create a bit of diversity among the other larger-than-life figures alongside Jesus and create calm waters as a symbol of the calm after the storm. Even with some of the installation challenges we faces, we were still able to design a continuous piece for the intended space.
