Entryway + Sidelight Stained Glass Salt Lake

When your neighbors, friends, and relatives enter your home for the first time, you want to make a good impression on them. In many cases the front entry of your home is the first impression that any visitor has of your home’s interior design. With stained and leaded glass doors and sidelights, you can make sure that the first impression is a great one. Our beautiful, hand-crafted windows provide your home with a unique artist accent while simultaneously providing a degree of privacy to your home and family.

There are many considerations to weigh when starting with a stained or leaded glass entryway.

1. What is in the space right now? Do you have existing clear sidelights and or glass in your door?
If you have clear glass in these locations, bonding our glass onto your existing windows allows us the ability to craft nearly any design and insert it quickly into your window without much worry. If you don’t have existing windows in one or both of those areas what materials would we be cutting through? In some cases those materials make retrofitting the entry a much larger project that most clients expect. In other cases, it’s more cost effective to simply replace the entire entry system.

2. How long to do you plan to say in your home?
Stained glass is a great upgrade for your home whether you are looking to sell it next month, or wanting to stay for the next few decades. The design that you choose should somewhat match your level of commitment to the home. Unless your home has specific design characteristics that lend itself to more antique elements, homeowners that will be moving soon should, in our opinion, pick more colorless glasses with more traditional lines. Sometimes homeowners who gravitate towards more colorful windows find that their tastes, or the tastes of those who might by their house change over time and the colors that were in style a few years ago have fallen out of favor.

3. How much privacy are you looking to achieve?
Higher degrees of privacy lend themselves to more textured glass, while a lower need for privacy opens up more options. Our designers bring glass samples to all of their appointments so you will be able to see for yourself all the options you have in choosing glass.
