Painted Glass Transoms Feature Utah’s Stunning Natural Landscape

At Salt Lake City Stained Glass, the requests we receive for stained glass designs vary extensively. No window we create is like the next, but that’s part of what makes our work fun and exciting. Recently, we had the pleasure of working on a very special and unique project for a homeowner in Holladay that was celebrating his retirement. The project? Designing and creating two painted glass panels, one of Arches National Park and one of a countryside landscape near Park City.
We met our client after he had just recently moved to Holladay. He had retired from his job in San Francisco and set out to enjoy a new chapter in his life by settling down in the foothills of the mountain wilderness just outside of the Salt Lake City valley. As a lover of the outdoors, our client was thrilled with his new home. He wanted to celebrate his move in a way that was unique and meaningful to him. So he asked us to create two nature themed painted glass panels for his home. That way, even at the end of the day, he could continue to enjoy Utah’s beautiful landscape even after retiring inside.
He decided on two vastly different but beautiful images for the design. One was to boldly display what is perhaps Utah’s most widely recognized and unique geographical feature: the natural rock arches in Arches National Park near Moab. And the other panel would be equally as beautifully, though entirely different, and would reveal the beauty of the countryside near the ski country of Park City.
So, we put one of our most talented artisans on the task. And we couldn’t have been prouder or happier with the results. The panels were stunning. They were rich in detail, color, and texture, true works of art and a beautiful tribute to Utah’s natural beauty. And our client was equally pleased, so happy in fact, that he wanted to personally thank the artist himself!
This project was a very rewarding experience for us to be a part of. To be able to bring joy to this homeowner and create something beautiful for his new home was an honor. That’s why we would love the opportunity to work with you on your stained glass project. Call our office today to find out how you can get your very own painted glass artwork for your Utah home.
