Salt Lake City Stained Glass is on a mission! A mission to educate the public about the practical design possibilities of stained glass.

Now, presumably you are already well aware of the aesthetic possibilities. Many of our customers tell us they have always wanted stained glass in their homes, and have admired it greatly for years. And they also tell us how shocked and pleased they are when their custom windows are installed: even though they have assisted with the design process and know what their windows will look like, they are still unprepared for the beauty upgrade their home receives.

But in the homes and offices of Salt Lake City, stained glass can also have extremely practical purposes. Let’s look at just a few, and perhaps you will be so inspired that you’ll come up with practical purposes of your own.

1. Let’s start with kitchen stained glass. Have you been jonesing for a whole new, redecorated and remodeled kitchen but it’s just not in your budget right now? Don’t underestimate the style boost the addition of some custom stained glass can have on your tired kitchen décor. Of course, the obvious place to add it is in the windows. But if your cabinets are worn, adding stained glass inserts to your cabinet doors will give your kitchen a whole new look and feel. Take a look by clicking here. Then, imagine your kitchen with matching stained glass windows, cabinets, and perhaps even your patio or pantry door.

2. In Salt Lake City, stained glass is also used to enhance privacy. Consider your entryway, or your bathroom. Perhaps you have sidelights next to your front door that let in much needed light, but also let in prying gazes from anyone who comes to your door. By using frosted and textured glass, perhaps even beveled glass, you can get the privacy you are looking for without blocking the flow of sunlight. Same goes for your bathroom. And these days, with those glass shower enclosures that have become so popular, you might even want more privacy there.

Remember, any glass can be stained glass!

3. Let’s move on to ugly views. Do you have any windows that open onto a parking lot, or the side of your neighbor’s home? Or how about basement well windows that show an ugly metal well or bottom end of a shrub? Stained glass comes to the rescue again, giving you something much more beautiful to look at.

So while most of our clients commission custom stained glass merely because they love it, some make it do double or even triple duty! Salt Lake City Stained Glass has two decades of pleasing our customers by designing the most beautifully detailed and highest quality product on the market. We’d love to earn your business. Why not give us a call to schedule an appointment with one of our designers?
